Q&A Notes:

• Compressing data at application level is the right trend for sensor and other mobile networks. For sensor networks specifically we might end up with optimization problem where the balance between energy waisted for compression and storage needs to be balanced with the energy spent on transmission.
• Application level compression can be further enhanced with application specific compression dictionaries.
• Another issue in sensor networks is synchronization of transmission time. Is it both a computers science and physics problem.
