For the first time, and to satisfy an increasing demand, SIGCOMM has decided to organize a 30mns "community interest session". This session will be held Tuesday 12 September between 17:30 and 18:00 in the main meeting room, just before the start of the business meeting.

Any organization providing resources to the community (funding agencies, industry, non profit organizations, research labs) will be able to announce the community service or program they provide. Example are open-source software, publicly-available measurement data, funding programs, toolboxes, etc. The session is informal and each selected organization will be offered a 5-10 minute slot.

In case we receive more requests than we can accommodate, a committee will decide which organizations get the slot for this year meeting. The decision will be made based on the importance of the announcement to the community.
