Welcome Reception
A Welcome Reception will be held for all SIGCOMM 2011 attendees on Monday evening, Aug 15, 2011, 6:30-8:30pm, in the Regatta room. The Regatta room is located right next to the Westin reception desk. There will be appetizers and drinks.
Student Dinner
All students attending SIGCOMM are invited to the student dinner on Tuesday, Aug 16, at the Watermark Irish Pub. The Watermark Irish Pub is located right on the Toronto Harbour in the Queen's Quay Terminal, a 5 minute walk from the conference hotel.
The dinner group meets 7:45pm at the conference registration area (outside of the Frontenac Room).
If you miss the group, just ask the hotel for directions.
Banquet Dinner
The Banquet Dinner will be held on Wednesday, Aug 17, 2011 at the Hart House, a Gothical Revival era building on the campus of the University of Toronto. (Catering Information). There will be bus transportation from the conference hotel.The bus service from the Westin to the banquet will start at 6:15pm (The shuttle buses will run in two rounds). When you arrive at the Hart House, you will be directed towards the reception area in the courtyard.
Reception: 6:30-7:45pm (Hart House Courtyard)
Dinner: 8:00pm
The Outrageous Opinion Session begins around 9:15pm in the Hart House Courtyard.
Shuttle bus service to return to the Hotel starts around 10:15pm.
The Hart House is about 3.5km North of the Westin. Alternative means of transportation are walking,
public transportation ("Museum" subway station is closest to Hart House), or taxi.
