Welcome to SIGCOMM 2011

Dear SIGCOMM 2011 attendees,

We welcome you to ACM SIGCOMM 2011 in Toronto! As in previous years, Sigcomm is organized as a week-long festival of networking research events. Below we provide a summary of the events during the week and share useful information.

Registration Desk

The registration desk will be open on:

In addition, registration is open during the Welcome Reception on Monday (Aug 15), 6:30 - 8:30pm.

The registration desk is located in the Coat Check Area outside the Frontenac (From the hotel, take the catwalk to the Convention Centre on the 2nd floor, and walk down the stairs to the street level. You will see signs to the registration desk).


For registration receipts, please log on to Regonline. There is an option to download a receipt.

On-site registrations

On-site registration is done online, following the link here. If you need a computer, go to the computer room (in Yonge). After completing the online registration, proceed to the registration desk, where volunteers will prepare a conference badge and bag.

Volunteers

We have several student volunteers who are helping out with the conference. You can identify them by the bright red T-shirts with the SIGCOMM 2011 logo. Please feel free to contact any volunteer or member of the organizing team for help.

Activities during the SIGCOMM week [room/venue within the brackets]

Virtually all events of SIGCOMM 2011 take place in the Convention Centre of the Westin. The Convention Centre is across the street from the hotel, and is reachable via a walkway. The exceptions are the welcome reception [Regatta Room, in the hotel lobby] and the ICN workshop [Marine Room, 2nd floor of the Westin]. On each day, a Breakfast (8:00 - 9:00am) and Lunch (12:30pm - 2:00pm) are served in "Metro Center", on the second floor of the Westin Convention Centre.

Conference Meals and Social Events

The following are included in all registrations:

Wireless Network and Computer Room

To connect to the conference WiFi network, select the "SIGCOMM" SSID and enter the key printed on the back of your badge. The SIGCOMM network will be available in the conference centre of the Westin.

We operate a computer room in the Yonge room, located on the ground floor of the conference centre. The room is equipped with a small number of Internet-connected computers and a printer.

We wish and hope that you find Sigcomm 2011 to be a stimulating and scientifically enriching experience. We also hope that you have time to enjoy the hospitable and cosmopolitan atmosphere in the city of Toronto.
