Call for PhD Student Short Talks

To spotlight the broad research agenda of PhD students, who will shape the future of the networking community, the HotNets 2024 workshop will also include short talks by graduating PhD students (those who expect to receive their PhD degree by Summer 2025). Talks should articulate a future research agenda for the field. Interested PhD students should send a title and a short (at most 1000 words, which is about 2 pages) abstract of their proposed talk to the HotNets 2024 PC chairs at bearzani@microsoft.com and jnfoster@cs.cornell.edu no later than July 15th 2024 (AoE). A small committee will review the submitted proposals, filter those that qualify, and (if we receive more submissions than we have room for in the program) select proposals to be presented at the workshop.

We allow for exceptions on the graduation timeline in certain cases where we believe the authors may benefit from (e.g. when they only have the opportunity to present at HotNets this year due to travel limitations) giving this presentation. Please mention these limitations as part of your submission email.
