Social Events

IMC 2017 will feature two social events, the reception on the evening of the first day and the banquet on the second day.

IMC Reception 1st November 2017 - 18:00-20:00

The reception will take place in the Senior Common Room (SCR) on campus. It is located on the first floor of the Queens’ Building, which is number 19 on this map.

IMC Banquet 2nd November 2017 - 19:00-22:00

The banquet will take place in the iconic Cutty Sark in Greenwich.

There will be Route Master buses (the old red double-decker buses) to reach and leave the Cutty Sark

• 18:15: buses will leave from Mile End Mile End tube station, stop ‘C’ (5 minutes from the conference venue)
• 22:45: buses will leave from Cutty Sark to Stratford and Mile End tube stations

Reaching the Cutty Sark by public transport is also possible:

• DLR stop “Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich”
• Or buses heading to Island Gardens and crossing the river by the “Greenwich Foot Tunnel”.
