Student Welcoming Dinner

On Tuesday, September 1, the evening before the main program of SIGCOMM 98 begins, we welcome all student attendees of SIGCOMM98 to a dinner, especially for you. Many students arrive at a conference such as SIGCOMM knowing only others from their own universities. This will be a chance to meet other student attendees, as well as some of the organizers of the conference, who will also join us at dinner. There is no additional fee to attend this dinner.

• Where:

Imperial Chinese Seafood Restaurant, 355 Burrard St., Vancouver
 
• When:

Tuesday, September 1, 1998, 7:30pm. (This will allow for time to attend the conference reception first - that starts at 6pm.)
 
• Who:

Anyone registered as a student attendee of SIGCOMM.
 
• Logistics:
1. Each student registration packet will include a ticket and walking directions to the restaurant.
2. Karen Sollins will leave the hotel front lobby at 7:10pm to walk to the restaurant. Anyone who wants to walk with her is welcome at that time.
3. The menu includes meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.
4. There will be a cash bar.
