Over the past year, the visa application process has become more complex and may require multiple weeks, depending on individual circumstances. To obtain the visa in time, the visa application should be submitted as soon as the travel decision is made. Please ensure you apply well before July 15th, 2010.
Conference or business visas may require invitation letters as well as significant amounts of documentation and processing time. A tourist visa is the easiest option to visit India for tourism or other non-business related purposes, and it typically does not require an invitation letter. While you are in India, you may wish to avail to the wide range of tourism options offered by the country. If you decide to include tourism in your itinerary, you may be able to apply for a tourist visa. Depending on your purpose of visit, please apply for the appropriate type of visa.
