Electricity in Hungary follows the European mainstream. The standard voltage is 230 V, and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. The power sockets and plugs belong to types C (Euro), F (Schuko), and E. If you are coming from the U.S., you will need a voltage converter and a plug adapter. In exceptional cases, the general chairs might be able to lend you a U.S. plug adapter.
