Announcing the SIGCOMM 2005 Work in Progress session, to be held at the conference Thursday, August 25th. Here's a chance to present your latest work, new projects, developing collaborations, and big visions to your SIGCOMM colleagues. The format of the session will be short presentations, each followed by time for feedback and discussion. The scope is broad - new research, infrastructure development, tool and testbed deployment, any topic of interest to the community. WIP is not restricted to students - faculty and senior researchers are encouraged to present!
Presenters at the WIP session will be asked to prepare a short summary of their work (up to two pages) as well as slides. These materials, together with a summary of discussions, will be posted to the web after the conference as a record of the session.
Presentations at the session will be selected on a first come first serve basis from among submissions that are in scope and of likely interest to the broad Sigcomm community.
To request a presentation slot, please submit the proposed title for your talk and a short abstract describing the work to be presented to the WIP email address, sc2005-wip@csail.mit.edu.
Submission by August 1, 2005 is strongly encouraged. Submissions received by August 1 will be notified of acceptance by August 8. Late submissions will be considered if space remains available.
Requests for further information are welcome and should be directed to the WIP session chair, John Wroclawski, at sc2005-wip@csail.mit.edu.
