There are a number of hotels in 2-5 minute walking distance from the Telefonica tower. All accommodation in the overall area is quite affordable, including for rent apartments that can be found through local real estate agency websites and online portals.

By taxi: The airport is almost 20 km away from Telefonica I+D (Plaça Ernest Lluch i Martí, 5). The cost is estimated to be around 30-50 euros, depending on the traffic. You can take them in front of any airport terminal at the taxi stop (you have to wait in line). The taxis can be easily recognized for their black and yellow colors, they all have meters and most of them accept credit cards.
By Aerobus and taxi: Take the Aerobus from the airport to Plaça de Catalunya. In Plaça de Catalunya take a taxi to Telefonica I+D (Plaça Ernest Lluch i Martí, 5). Cost: 1) the cost for the Aerobus is 5.90 euros, 2) the cost of the taxi from Plaça de Catalunya to Telefonica I+D is around 10-20 euros, depending on the traffic.
By Aerobus and Underground: Take the Aerobus from the airport to Plaça de Catalunya. Then, take the underground (yellow line) from Plaça Urquinaona to EL Maresme-Forum. Telefonica I+D and the hotels are in walking distance from the metro station of EL Maresme-Forum. Total cost: 7.90 euros.
Public Transportation at night: Regular public transportation stops running at midnight, but you can take the Nitbus N16 or N17 (depending on your Terminal) to the city center. Then, take the Nitbus N7 to Passeig de Taulat; Telefonica I+D and the hotels are in walking distance.
