Getting to the Conference Venue

The venue is easily accesible from the South Kensington and Gloucester Road tube stations. We recommend all attendees acquire an Oyster travel card as they arrive to London for getting the best rates in public transport services (including automatic daily cost cap). Contactless cards can also be used with the same tariff of an Oyster card.

From Heathrow airport. Take the Underground (Piccadilly Line - dark blue) to South Kensington Station (50 minutes travelling time).

From Gatwick airport. Take a national rail train to Victoria station (journey time 40 minutes) and then by Underground, (Circle or District Line; westbound) to South Kensington.

Accomodation

There is no preferred accomodation option for SIGCOMM, with London offering a diverse range of options for hotels. Several nearby hotels offer discounted rates for conference attendees. In order for the attendees to book their rooms at these rates, they will need to contact the college’s reservations department and mention “SIGCOMM 2015”. The venue is easily accessible through public transport, so we advise a wider search through online hotel / hostel booking sites (e.g. booking.com, trivago.co.uk) to evaluate a broader range of prices/features, which might provide even better rates.

Student accomodation. There is also a limited set of single rooms in Imperial College facilities that are reserved for SIGCOMM 2015 student attendees. These are single rooms with special dates. Rooms will be released in waves up to the start of the conference. Attendees can book by phoning +44(0)20 759 49507 between 9am to 5pm each week day or sending an email to IC’s accomodation quoting the promotion code (ACM2015) to avail of the rate and ensure availability.
